So, my daughter spilled something in the shifter of her now out of warranty HHR. We didn't know that she did this at the time. I'm sure a dealership would have wanted to replace this and that. These guys were honest and fare, did not jump to conclusions, and simply cleaned the junk up that was causing the shifter so many issues. I will definitely be back. It is hard to find a good mechanic. I will change my review if this changes.

6 out of 5 stars! :) I broke down heading back to Greenville, SC after picking up my mom from the Charlotte airport. It was 4:30 (an hour till R&M closes). As a complete stranger to Mt Holly, I googled auto repair shops. We called three before we called R&M Auto. Thankfully none of the other shops could help us, because that led us to R&M. From the first phone conversation, to the free coffee and snacks, to them staying after close to fix my car - this place was a blessing. They found the problem and had me back on the road by 6 for a percentage of what I was expecting to pay. Good trustworthy mechanics are hard to find. I wish R&M Auto Center was located in Greenville, SC. I would certainly be a loyal customer.
